About Abel Bester Incorporated
Our main office is situated at 83 Vry Street, Vryburg and we have a fully operating satelite office in 28 Du Plessis Street, Schweizer Reneke.
We have two directors, Jakomarie Bester and Yolandi Fourie. Jakomarie obtained her B Proc degree at UOVS in 1984 and is admitted as lawyer, conveyancer, notary and estate appraiser. Yolandi obtained her B Com degree in 2010 and LL. B degree in 2012 at the PUK. She joined the company as an article clerk on 1 January 2013 and is now a committed lawyer and conveyancer. This mother-daughter duo strives to ensure professional, quality service and equal treatment of all clients.
Furthermore, we have 2 conveyancing typists, 2 bookkeepers (Vryburg and Schweizer Reneke), 3 admin personnel - cleaning, garden, deliveries - 1 clerk and translator, 2 other secretaries and 2 receptionists (Vryburg and Schweizer Reneke). We also have 1 driver and a company car, which is used to service the Master of the High Court, Mmabatho and other courts in Taung and Ganyesa.
History of Abel Bester
Abel Daniël Petrus Bester founded Abel Bester attorneys in 1978 after he completed his studies through UNISA. His goal was to establish a small firm for the people, where a client would not feel like just another file reference but that a personal relationship has been established between themselves and the attorney. Jakomarié Bester, his daughter, started as an article clerk on 2 December 1992 and took partnership in 1987. Abel Bester passed away on 13 July 1999, after which Jakomarié Bester took over the company. On 1 January 2015 Yolandi Fourie, daughter of Jakomarié Bester, joined the firm. She was admitted as a conveyancer on 17 June 2016.
